Design & LayoutHow to Change Receipt Width

Receipt width controls how wide the receipt appears in the preview and when exported or printed.

Receipt Width slider in the Design tab

Most real receipts are printed on narrow paper rolls. Adjusting the receipt width helps the layout resemble real store receipts.

Why Receipt Width Matters

Receipt width affects how information is displayed.

A narrower receipt:

  • resembles thermal paper receipts
  • keeps item rows compact
  • creates a vertical receipt layout

A wider receipt may:

  • display more spacing
  • improve readability on screen
  • better fit standard printers

Changing the Receipt Width

To adjust the width:

  1. Open the Appearance or Layout settings.

  2. Locate the Receipt Width option.

  3. Select the width you want to use.

The receipt preview will update immediately.

Common Receipt Widths

Common receipt sizes include:

  • 58 mm – small receipts used by compact POS printers
  • 80 mm – standard retail receipt width

These sizes are commonly used by thermal printers.

Summary

Receipt width controls how wide the receipt appears in the layout. Adjusting this setting helps match common thermal receipt formats.
